Five Sentence Fiction – Jubilant
The sun was setting down, dragging their shadows longer and longer until they were giants. They were the only ones there, on top of the cliff, overlooking the city, as the buildings and the skyscrapers were being lit up one by one. He was down on one knee and she knew what it meant. He pulled out a box, a small black thing, and she knew what it meant. She shouted yes, on top of the mountain, overlooking the city lights, without him even asking the question.
