I exceeded the 100 word count limit but I know Angela will forgive me for that ;) haha!

Visual Dare – Minimal

Mick walked across the room. Dust had settled in nicely all around. He sat on the bed and dust flew into the air. He smiled and coughed and looked around. The room was missing many things. The comic book posters adorning the wall were gone. Only the bed and the bedside table remained.

Mick wondered, he scratched his head…

He bent down and looked underneath the bed. Mick gave a laugh. He reached down and pulled out an action figure of Captain Amazing. There was a time when Mick and the Captain were inseparable, he remembered. The paint on the Captain’s body was fading and his red cape was gone, but otherwise, the toy looked good.

He was an eight year old again. From outside, he could hear the faint voices of his friends calling him out to play. A closing of the eyes and a shake of the head and Mick was back in the present. The voices were gone, he was fifty, and cancer was still eating him from the inside.

Mick lay on the bed with the Captain lying down on his chest.
